This will be the largest VB STARTALK ever, with four elementary Russian classes and one advanced Russian class now on a par with the five Chinese classes. Before the first day on 6/24/19, students and parents should attend the Open House 6/20 6:00 PM to meet teachers and become familiar with this wonderful program. Let the fun begin!

Students of Russian will participate in an in-house field trip at Providence Elementary School tomorrow. STARTALK will provide an .authentic Russian lunch and entertainment including traditional dancing, music, and folkloric instruments. Students will meet and interview members of the local Russian heritage community using their newly acquired Russian language skills..
It is essential that students wear their Russian STARTALK tee shirts and closed toe shoes for the field trip. Buses depart at 2:00 PM so plan accordingly to meet your student at the bus stop. Parent pick up will be at the side entrance by the cafetorium (site of Orientation Night). If you will be picking up your student, please arrive a few minutes prior to 2:00 PM dismissal to buses. Your child has missed speaking Russian, learning about Russian traditions and customs, and spending time with STARTALK friends. This winter, we are offering four afternoon Post-Sessions on four consecutive Fridays: 1/13/17, 1/20/17, 1/27/17, and 2/3/17 4:30 - 6:00 PM at Providence Elementary School.
